Subdividing your land – process and considerations
Subdivision generally involves the partition of a parcel of land into smaller portions. Once land is subdivided, a ‘title’ is created for each new portion, which can be separately sold and transferred. A subdivision may range from the creation of separate titles for a dual occupancy, the partition of a single lot into 2, to a residential development by subdivision into numerous lots, or the construction of strata title units.
Everyone is talking about ‘corporate governance’….
But what does this actually mean?
In recent times the term ‘corporate governance’, and the increasingly popular ‘good corporate governance’, appear to be regular topics of discussion both in the media and the general population. These terms are routinely used when considering the actions of a wide range of companies - from very small local companies through to global giants such as McDonalds and Nike.
The problem with estrangement in a Will contest
Estrangement or a falling out between a Will-maker and a family member is a common reason for being left out of a Will. Estrangement may present an obstacle for an eligible person making a family provision claim, however will not necessarily prevent a successful claim.
Life changing eggs
Last year, GW learned of a wonderful project that was hatched by the Compass Institute to supply farm fresh, free range eggs to the door for team members, whilst supporting a very worthy cause at the same time. For just $5 a dozen, Compass deliver several dozen eggs to the office each week and our team members can’t get enough of the delicious tasting eggs.
