GW presented top gong to Sunshine Plaza by Lendlease
Sunshine Coast might be a regional area but the recent Sunshine Coast Master Builders Housing and Construction winners are proving that local quality and artisanship can exceed the national standard.
Garland Waddington had the privilege of again this year, sponsoring the Project of the Year, with Sunshine Plaza by Lend Lease taking home the award for its impressive $400 million redevelopment.

GW Partner Brendan Bathersby, who attended and presented at the Awards, said the extension of the Sunshine Plaza was a remarkable addition to the Sunshine Coast landmark which involved elaborate logistical challenges.
“Sunshine Plaza celebrated its 25th year with an expansion of 34,000sqm which made it the first super-regional shopping centre north of Brisbane,” said Mr Bathersby.
The redevelopment started in August 2016, generating an estimated 2,900 jobs over the two and a half years before completion earlier this year.
